1 of 12
Vehicle Description This 1949 GMC 150 3/4-ton pickup is a clean, lightly modified, restored example of GMC's New Design trucks, which ran in parallel with Chevrolet's Advance Design from 1947 to 1955.
The body was removed for restoration prior to the seller's ownership, and a handful of modifications were performed to provide better drivability.
Added disc brakes and EFI for better engine response.
There is about 500 miles on it since the completed restoration.
Finished in handsome Sea Blue a with light gray carpet and blue leather upholstery, it's an excellent example of an immediate postwar pickup, but one that you aren't likely to see at every car show in America.
With a later inline six (236 ci.
) and a four-speed transmission on the floor.
The steering and suspension are the same as it left the factory.
It is one of a kind and not one of the million heavily modified street-rod pickups you'll find in any internet classified search.
This GMC was rebuilt with the intention to keep it close to the way it was delivered when new.
Love this truck but just do not have time to drive and enjoy it.
