Candidates are required to be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry, licensed to practice in the State of Virginia and possess a DEA number.
Our Staff Psychiatrist will serve a case load of adults with multiple/complex co-occurring Mental Health, Intellectual Disability and Substance Use Disorder diagnoses.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record is required.
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams is needed. Prior Community Services Board (CSB) experience preferred.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Duties
The Medical Services Team is seeking full-time Staff Psychiatrists for medical and behavioral health to join our team of diverse professionals. Staff Psychiatrist works as part of a team to provide Diagnostic assessment and treatment and medication follow ups of assigned cases. Psychiatrist should have the ability to serve as a consultant to the multi- disciplinary team and educate the person served on the treatments offered. Psychiatrist is expected to join in the departmental mission of excellence in care, and training of multi-disciplinary teammates.
